Dr Han has been a godsend. He’s done multiple extractions, implants, a sinus lift, and implant crowns and he’s the best periodontist I’ve ever had. His staff is awesome too for everything from cleaning and fillings to Kim’s office management.

Your Choices for Replacing Teeth

Whether we are working on a single tooth or a full set of dentures, Smile Designer brings big-city expertise to Leesburg and offers a full suite of solutions for anyone missing teeth. We use high-quality dental materials including porcelain and zirconia so that you can walk out with a natural-looking smile. Among our options for missing teeth ...

Traditional Full Dentures

Traditional, removable dentures are an affordable option and a relatively quick solution for missing teeth. Held in place by suction and adhesives, a full denture includes a gum-colored base and natural-looking artificial teeth. Our skilled dentists at Smile Designer of Leesburg use digital x-rays and an i-CAT™ Cone Beam Scanner to carefully map the contours of your mouth so that we can design a snug-fitting denture that will let you smile and eat confidently.

Partial denture

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are the answer when you are missing teeth in various parts of your mouth. These custom-made solutions can replace a lone tooth in one spot and a row of teeth elsewhere to fill in the gaps that are making your life difficult. Most partial dentures are held in place by metal clasps that clip onto a nearby tooth. Sometimes wires are added to help keep the partial denture from shifting out of position. Just like full dentures, partials include a gum-colored base where needed.

Implant denture

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures, also called hybrid dentures, are the preferred solution at Smile Designer of Leesburg. These dentures are fixed in place by dental implants, small titanium posts that are anchored into the jawbone. You'll never have to worry about these dentures slipping and embarrassing you. Your bite will be stronger too. An often overlooked benefit is that the dental implants stimulate your jaw to create new bone, keeping it strong and preventing a sunken look that makes you look older than you are. Dental implants can also be used to replace individual teeth or rows of teeth.

Partial dentures are designed to place artificial teeth where there are gaps in your smile.

Treatment Timeline for a Traditional Denture

We use a trusted lab that specializes in dentures to create your new smile.

Initial Consultation

We carefully assess the health of your gums and any remaining teeth. We will also take digital x-rays and a CBCT scan to determine the density of the bone in your jaw.

To design your denture or partial denture, we will take an impression of your mouth. The molds will be sent to our trusted lab for the first step in the denture process, the creation of a wax model.

Wax Model

You'll come back to the practice to try on the wax model and assess the look and fit. If adjustments are needed, the dentist will make note of any changes and send the model back to the lab, where a skilled specialist will create the denture out of high-quality dental materials. Smile Designer of Leesburg uses a trusted lab that specializes in dentures and takes the extra step of hand-finishing pieces to ensure a comfortable fit and natural look.

When your denture returns from the lab, the dentist will check it for a precise fit and a comfortable bite and make any necessary adjustments. As you are getting used to your new denture, it is common to return to the practice for further adjustments until you are completely satisfied.
